Redefine your end-of-year gatherings with vintage.
VOL. 6 THE SHIRT JACKET
How it works
Daitai is a slow-growing collection of vintage items, accessories, and bits that strike me as beautiful. I curate with the same instincts I use as a design director: pay attention to the cultural impact, understand the design intent, and look at how a garment moves, fits, and lives over time.
This site functions like a living archive. Every item is here because it teaches us something, not because it is tied to a trend or a brand name. I grew up in my dad’s shop, Gozira-ya, so vintage has always been a form of storytelling for me. It anchors my work and keeps me curious. I move inventory so I can keep learning. The cycle is simple: find, study, release, repeat.
Instagram features the ideation.
DaitaiVintage.com is where the pieces live, sell, and support the SIP Circle: bookings, workshops, and in-person study sessions for the Bay Area community. Think of it as a secondhand research center, a place where knowledge and experience sit in the open instead of behind a closed studio door.
We are not racing to operate like a high-volume shop. We add pieces when they’re worth looking at. We treat the archive as ongoing research. We lead with questions and adjust as we go.
Welcome to Daitai. A place to slow down, observe closely, and find beauty in what has already lived.
