SIP Circle

SIP Circle exists to create accountability for creative practice.

We bring people together to share skills, exchange knowledge, and support meaningful work. Whether through repair, mentorship, or collaborative projects, our goal is simple: build stronger creative habits, stronger relationships, and a stronger community.

From late-night video calls to Nairobi over a glass of wine (and their morning coffee), to harvesting homegrown Napa cabbage for a group kimchi-making day, SIP Circle is home to a diverse group of creatives who gather to celebrate the small wins, keep each other accountable, and make room for work—and life—to happen together.

We work together.

Repair

Repair and mending workshops often feel out of touch with current consumer needs, especially when fast fashion creates the perfect "out" for quick turnaround rather than the appeal of building character and patina over time. Even still, we see our culture quickly shifting as consumers value quality over quantity.

We aim to promote repair in its most basic essence. Just do your best to repurpose. Take a realistic approach to repair. We don't need perfect sashiko to fix those denim rips. Mending can look like Shoe Goo and a easy whipstitch. It can also look like taking advantage of your local library's resources or batch tailoring items on your next trip to Seoul. Let's rethink this process so it becomes habit stacking rather than a pain point in our busy lives.

Custom

Custom work in this day and age is accessible, flexible, and less dependent on bulk orders. SIP works with creative minds and advises on projects across retail as well as performance spaces. With experience in wholesale, graphic printing, international suppliers, and local sewers, we find workable solutions around ever-evolving technological advances without losing our core community values. Mentor

Mentorship is a crucial part of developing talent, building networks for graduating students, and redefining an industry that lacks middle managers who offer essential feedback to young designers. Creative connections are becoming fewer and farther between when it comes to skill building, and we are filling those gaps.

Mentorship started very quietly on the side of bigger projects but quickly became a defining part of the SIP circle. We find that holding each other accountable isn't possible without creating full-circle opportunities to support new talent, champion the need for good managers, and build those relationships regardless of today's industry disruptions.
